The rules for using BrewTrail WA
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the BrewTrail WA application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
BrewTrail WA is a craft brewery discovery application for Washington State. The App provides brewery locations, hours, amenities, and other information to help users explore Washington's craft beer scene. The App also provides personal tools including a beer journal, brewery passport, custom lists, and trip planner.
3. No Account Required
BrewTrail WA does not require account creation or registration. All personal data (beer journal entries, visited breweries, lists, and passport progress) is stored locally on your device.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 21 years of age to use BrewTrail WA. The App is designed for legal-drinking-age adults in the United States. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose of discovering and exploring breweries. You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Redistribute or republish the brewery database or content
- Attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the App
6. Brewery Information
BrewTrail WA includes information for 349+ Washington State breweries. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free. Brewery listings do not constitute endorsement.
7. Happy Hour & Event Information
Happy hour deals, events, and seasonal releases listed in the App are provided as a convenience. These are subject to change without notice. Always verify current promotions directly with the brewery.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, brewery database, and content, is the property of Nimbus Theory and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Brewery names and logos are the property of their respective owners.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nimbus Theory shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated through the App or this page.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Privacy Policy
How BrewTrail WA handles your data
1. Information We Collect
We don't. BrewTrail WA does not collect any personal information. There is no account creation, no login, no registration, and no user tracking.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
The App stores the following data locally on your device to provide its features:
- Beer journal entries — beers you've logged with ratings, notes, and tags
- Visited breweries — breweries you've checked in to
- Custom lists — lists you've created (rankings, wishlists, collections)
- Passport progress — badges earned and trail completion status
- Trip plans — brewery crawl itineraries you've built
- App preferences — view settings, filters, and display preferences
This data is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. It is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. If you delete the App, this data is permanently deleted.
3. Analytics & Tracking
BrewTrail WA does not use any analytics services, tracking pixels, advertising SDKs, or other monitoring technologies. We do not track your location, usage patterns, or behavior within the App.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses Mapbox to display interactive maps. When using the map feature, map tile requests are sent to Mapbox's servers. Mapbox's handling of this data is governed by their own privacy policy. No personal information is included in these requests.
5. Advertising
BrewTrail WA contains no advertising. We do not serve ads, display sponsored content, or share any data with advertisers.
6. Children's Privacy
BrewTrail WA is not intended for use by anyone under 21 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
7. Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with third parties. There is no user data to share — everything stays on your device.
8. Data Security
Because all data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted, your data is protected by your device's own security measures (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, encryption). We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date.
9. Data Deletion
You can delete all App data at any time by:
- Deleting the App from your device (removes all stored data)
- Clearing the App's data through your device's storage settings
There is no server-side data to request deletion of.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
11. California Residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale. Because BrewTrail WA collects no personal information, there is nothing to disclose, delete, or opt out of.
